Greetings!
We are excited to share a few updates for the Dan Thompson Memorial Developmental Disabilities Community Services Account with the Department of Social and Health Services.
All grant contracts from Rounds 1 and 2 of grant funding are nearing completion with the end of the state’s fiscal year on June 30, 2025. This includes the conclusion of housing and capital improvement projects through our partnership with the Department of Commerce. Stories and data are being shared with DSHS from all the grant award recipients, and we are seeing the widespread impacts of these funds for people with developmental disabilities.
As we look to the future, we are pleased to announce that the 2025-2027 biennium budget has been finalized, and the Dan Thompson Memorial account has been included in the DSHS budget for new grant opportunities. Our goal is to have these new grants under contract in early 2026. More details will be shared soon, including priority topics, award amounts, and the application process.
