One Team: Discussion Series
Our Quality Assurance, Training, Nursing and Residential units have created a collaborative project offering support to community residential providers. Every quarter, we will host a 90-minute meeting on Teams. Each meeting will include a presentation lasting 30 to 50 minutes from a special guest who is an expert on a current issue. DDA will choose the issues first.
After three months, all new topics will be based on provider feedback through surveys. After a 30 to 50-minute presentation, we will have 15 to 30 minutes for discussion and questions. At the end, we will spend 5 to 10 minutes sharing resources.
Providers will receive two Continuing Education credits for attendance and will need to complete an online quality survey. On the survey, providers can propose future discussion topics and ask follow-up questions.
Our first discussion will be March 20, 2 - 3:30 p.m.
Let’s Talk Behavior: Understanding the Person and Their Behavior – Positive Behavior Support Environments.
Presenter: Dr. Emily Branscum, Field Services Psychologist (Region 3)
Space is limited to 40 participants. To reserve your spot, please email to Robin.Wiseman@dshs.wa.gov Robin will then share with you the link to the discussion meeting. If your availability changes, please let Robin know so someone else can be added to the discussion.
