New Resource Available for Respiratory Protection in Healthcare: Annual N95 Worker Training Online Training

Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Healthcare-Associated  Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAIAR) is excited to share their newest educational resource, the Annual N95 Worker Training online training. This self-paced online training is for workers who need to wear respiratory protection. It is free to access and covers the requirements in Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 296-842-16005. After passing the final knowledge check at the end of the training, users can receive a Course Completion Record.

The training is appropriate for workers in a variety of healthcare settings where N95 respirators are needed, and it was designed to meet the needs of long-term care settings that do not have an existing resource for training staff on N95s. This training focuses on N95 use only. It does not include training for other types of respirators.

Please send questions or comments about the training to hai@doh.wa.gov.
