We are excited to announce two informational webinars to connect with and update you on following:
- An overview of a fully updated DSHS Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants and Home Care Aides, Special Focus on Diabetes
- Instructions for using the new materials.
- Sunset date for current versions.

The DSHS Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants and Home Care Aides, Special Focus on Diabetes curriculum has been fully updated by our certified diabetes care & education specialist, Jessica Baker, and a subject matter expert workgroup based on current standards of care and with our continued goal to improve the quality of life for those we serve.
The content has been revised to reflect changes in policy and practices and restructured to improve learner outcomes.
- Complete visual redesign
- Images and language adjusted to be inclusive and representative of the diversity of caregivers, DSHS clients, and long-term care residents
- Updated sections/lessons on newer diabetes medication and treatment
- Knowledge checks and activities incorporated throughout to keep learners engaged and to assess learning
- Full-color images and text
- Final exam rewritten
