CDC COVID Data Tracker website error is resolved

This message is to notify long-term care (LTC) setting providers that the error on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID Data Tracker website is resolved.

  • LTC setting providers use CDC Community Transmission Levels for personal protective equipment (PPE) guidance.
  • On February 10, 2023, Residential Care Services notified providers of an error on the CDC COVID Data Tracker website. The error prevented update to Washington State COVID-19 Community Transmission Levels. Providers were directed to use last available data showing “high” Community Transmission Levels for PPE guidance.
  • The COVID Data Tracker error is resolved. The CDC COVID Data Tracker currently displays accurate Community Transmission rates.
  • Providers can resume using current COVID Data Tracker Community Transmission Levels for PPE guidance.
