Update: New Sunset Date for Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving (RFOC)

Dear Instructors,

This bulletin is to remind you that the Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving (RFOC) textbook has undergone a major transformation and is now the Fundamentals of Caregiving, 3rd edition (FOC). 

Please read this information thoroughly as some dates have changed.

  • The RFOC and the RFOC Continuing Education Course Packet sunset date has been extended to February 28, 2023.
  • Effective March 1, 2023, only the Fundamentals of Caregiving 3rd edition and the Fundamentals of Caregiving Continuing Education Course Packet should be used.
  • If your training program was approved to use the RFOC, you are approved to use the FOC3.
  • If your training program was approved to use the RFOC Continuing Education Course Packet, you are approved to use the FOC3 Continuing Education Course Packet. If you did not already receive the FOC3 Continuing Education Course Packet, please send an email to request the updated version:
