Quarter 1, 2026 Update -- Sales Tax Rate Tools
The Quarter 1, 2026, Washington State sales tax rate changes are now available.
On January 1, 2026, the sales tax rate lookup tool, including the map and latitude/longitude search, will include the following changes:
- Sales and use tax within the City of Algona will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Bellingham will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Bingen will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for criminal justice and/or fire protection services.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Black Diamond will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Cashmere will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Centralia will decrease two-tenths (.002) of one percent due to the expiration of transportation services.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Cle Elum will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for transportation services and local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Des Moines will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Duvall will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of East Wenatchee will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Edmonds will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Elma will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within Island County will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for emergency communication systems and facilities.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Issaquah will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Kalama will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Kent will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within King County will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within Klickitat County will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for criminal justice services.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Lynden will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Renton will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Ridgefield will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of SeaTac will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Seattle will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for local law enforcement programs.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Spokane Valley will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for criminal justice and/or fire protection services.
- Sales and use tax within the City of Sumner will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
- Sales and use tax within Walla Walla County will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for emergency communication systems and facilities.
- Sales and use tax within Yakima County will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for emergency communication systems and facilities.
- The City of Edmonds will establish a new lodging code with a rate of .125. This is a reporting change only and not a rate change.
- For sales and use tax within certain areas of the City of Moses Lake, Okanogan County, Okanogan County PTBA, City of Airway Heights, and Pend Oreille County tribal compact covered areas have been updated.
