Quarter 2, 2024 Update -- Sales Tax Rate Tools

The Quarter 2, 2024, Washington State sales tax rate changes are now available.

 

On April 1, 2024, the sales tax rate lookup tool, including the map and latitude/longitude search, will include the following changes:

  • Sales and use tax within Asotin County will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for optional sales tax.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Buckley Transportation Benefit District (TBD) will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of College Place Transportation Benefit District (TBD) will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within Cowlitz County will decrease one-tenth (.001) of one percent due to the expiration of mental health tax.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Friday Harbor Transportation Benefit District (TBD) will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within King County will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for cultural access programs, except for Issaquah and Renton which will increase by two-tenths of one percent (.002) for cultural access and transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Liberty Lake Transportation Benefit District (TBD) will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Moses Lake Transportation Benefit District (TBD) will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Omak will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for fire protection and public safety.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Port Townsend Transportation Benefit District (TBD) will increase three-tenths (.003) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within Stevens County will increase four-tenths (.004) of one percent, for criminal justice, public safety, and juvenile detention facilities and jails.
  • Sales and use tax within Thurston County will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for criminal justice and public safety. Except for Olympia, which will increase three-tenths (.003) of one percent for criminal justice and public safety.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Olympia Transportation Benefit District (TBD) will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within Whatcom County will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for criminal justice and public safety.
