Quarter 1, 2024 Update -- Sales Tax Rate Tools

The Quarter 1, 2024, Washington State sales tax rate changes are now available.

 

On January 1, 2024, the sales tax rate lookup tool, including the map and latitude/longitude search, will include the following changes:

  • Sales and use tax within the City of Airway Heights will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the Chelan County will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the Douglas County Public Transportation Benefit Area (PTBA) will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Leavenworth will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Port Angeles will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Redmond will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within San Juan County will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for housing and related services.
  • The Tourism Promotion Area (TPA) lodging charge for Spokane County and the City of Spokane will increase one dollar ($1) to five dollars ($5) in Zones A and B for tourism promotion.
  • The Tourism Promotion Area (TPA) lodging charge for the City of Union Gap will increase two dollars ($2) to four dollars ($4) for tourism promotion.
  • The City of Zillah will establish a Special Hotel/Motel lodging tax of two (.02) percent for all lodging businesses.
