Quarter 3, 2021 Update -- Sales Tax Rate Tools

The Quarter 3, 2021, Washington State sales tax rate changes are now available.

 

On July 1, 2021, the sales tax rate lookup tool, including the map and latitude/longitude search, will include the following changes:

  • Sales and use tax within Pierce County will increase one tenth of one percent (.001) for mental health and chemical dependency services.
  • Sales and use tax within Whatcom County will increase one tenth of one percent (.001) for housing and related services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of East Wenatchee will increase one tenth of one percent (.001) for housing and related services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Tacoma will increase one tenth of one percent (.001) for housing and related services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Spokane will increase one tenth of one percent (.001) for housing and related services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Wenatchee will increase one tenth of one percent (.001) for housing and related services.
  • For sales and use tax within certain areas of Unincorporated Mason, Pierce, and Thurston Counties, new location codes have been created.
  • For sales and use tax within certain areas of Lacey and Lakewood, new location codes have been created.
