House Bill 1947, revision of RCW 70.A.125.060 went into effect July 27, 2025.

Here is what staff, utilities, and local health partners need to know.

For the counties with local health as the Group B authority, please communicate directly with your local health drinking water contacts. You will find links to local health websites on our Group B Map 331-608 (PDF).

For the counties with Office of Drinking Water as the Group B authority, please communicate with the appropriate staff assigned to your county.
