The Department of Health is hosting the HPV Vaccine Starts at 9: Why? How? Now! Cancer Prevention Made Easy webinar on May 16, 2023 from 12-1pm to discuss. The presenters will discuss Washington State Department of Health’s recommendation to administer HPV vaccination starting at age 9, the importance and benefits of HPV vaccination, and clinic strategies to support implementation of HPV vaccination at age 9. The webinar will be recorded and continuing education is available for nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists/pharmacy techs. We are working to obtain continuing education for physicians.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe HPV, HPV-related cancers, and HPV vaccination rates in WA and in the US
- Identify at least 3 benefits of starting HPV vaccination at age 9
- Discuss clinic strategies to support workflows for HPV vaccination starting at age 9
