Accepting contractor applications starting April 29

The Qualified Contractor Network (QCN) application launch date has been extended to April 29. Only contractors enrolled in the QCN are eligible to perform IRA rebate work.

The new date will better align with onboarding the rebate administrator who will help contractors navigate the rebate programs through training, marketing materials, maintaining the Find a Contractor list, and ongoing general support.

Third-party administrator

We're close to submitting our selection for the third-party rebate administrator to the Department of Energy for approval. This is a major step toward program launch. Check the IRA webpage for updates.

Federal funding questions

Commerce is working closely with the Governor’s Office and State Attorney General's Office to understand and respond to potential federal funding impacts. While awaiting further guidance, Washington will continue to offer rebates for households.

Our goal is to have a rebate administrator in place by the end of spring and to open rebate applications to Washington households as soon as possible thereafter. This is an evolving situation that is subject to change.
