Commerce leading application process for manufactured home community preservation and reinvestment pilot

Commerce’s Homeownership Unit (HOU) is leading the application for up to $85 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) competition.
- Competitively awarded PRICE Main funds focus on affordable housing preservation by encouraging revitalization and enhancement to preserve existing manufactured home communities and manufactured housing units.
- Competitively awarded PRICE Replacement Pilot funds focus on redevelopment of these communities as replacement housing to benefit households living in substandard housing or in disaster-prone areas.

Public comment will be accepted via email, standard mail, and during an in-person and virtual public hearing at Commerce’s offices in Olympia.

The draft Commerce PRICE application is available for public review and comment from May 13 to May 28, 2024.
A public hearing is scheduled for May 21, 2024, with virtual and in-person attendance options.
