 Office of Equity recruits to fill director position
Contact our equity team regarding any project work in process with the state's office

Recently, I wrote to you about a leadership change at the Washington State Office of Equity, which Gov. Jay Inslee created in 2020 to “promote equitable access to opportunities and resources that reduce disparities and improve outcomes statewide across state government," according to the governor's website. The Office of Equity is now recruiting to fill the director position, and you can find the job announcement on Careers.wa.gov. Here's a direct link to it.

 HR Weekly: Tips for getting into 'A Path Toward Equity' training modules

If you are having trouble registering for the required “A Path Toward Equity" Training Modules, I have a few suggestions.
When it comes to “A Path Toward Equity," contrary to most other classes, I don't recommend you put yourself on the waitlist. When you are on the waitlist for any class, you aren't able to register for any new classes that are added. In addition, the competition is fierce with so many of us throughout the state trying to take the required classes. So by the time you select the email link informing you of an open spot, oftentimes, the spot has already been taken by someone else.
