Memorial Day remembrance

We will host barbecue and virtual gathering to honor fallen service members

Monday, May 29, is Memorial Day. To honor those who died in service to our country, we will host a virtual community gathering from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, and a barbecue at headquarters from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 30.

I invite you to join me and fellow Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG) members in remembrance at these and other events below.

Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) is going strong, and on Wednesday, our COM-unity chatted with Director Mike Fong (pictured) and watched a video from colleagues on why they choose public service.

Today's PSRW fun will continue with an agencywide PSRW Family Feud faceoff of the deputies' teams at 10 a.m. on Zoom. Then we will have our in-person lunch in Spokane, where you can play games, eat, mingle and get a new headshot, if you like.
