Let's celebrate Records and Information Management Month!

By PAULA HOWELL
Agency records officer

Did you know there's a specific month dedicated to records and information management? Records and Information Management Month, or RIM Month, takes place every April. The idea of RIM is to promote better recordkeeping and information management and the importance of organizing and maintaining all records in any format. In 2022, the governor signed a proclamation for RIM Month.

To celebrate RIM Month at Commerce, we will offer team members a variety of activities, including games, training, in-person and online chats, records/archives tour, and additional articles relating to records and information management.

Cultivating Connections to welcome spring with an agency plant swap

Folks will gather Thursday at Oly Lunch

P

By JAMIE SMITH
Internal Communications and Community Support specialist

Our Cultivating Connections break-time group is sponsoring Commerce's first Oly Lunch plant swap from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 23, in headquarters' third-floor large conference room. We look forward to connecting with fellow plant lovers and celebrating the official start of spring!

If you'd like, bring your lunch for you and then plants, seeds, starts, and/or gently used gardening and houseplant supplies to trade or gift. Please don't bring chemicals, large or broken equipment, or plants with pests or disease. Everyone is welcome regardless of whether you bring anything.

Cultivating Connections meets from noon to 12:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month to chat about gardening, farming and more (add to calendar).

Reach out me any time with questions.
