New Zoom links coming today for Real Talk and Coffee with Kendrick
By DAWN GELUSO Internal communications and community support manager
Later this morning (Thursday), we will cancel all existing Real Talk and Coffee with Kendrick links and send out new ones to the whole agency. Please note the new links. Nothing else will change.
Why are we creating fresh links? Three reasons. First, it's safer for us security-wise to refresh links, since we've been using the same ones since the pandemic started. Second, some of the links were created before Zoom updated with new and fun tools. Third, Outlook suffers a cascade of auto-responses based on folks who are no longer with the agency. (Personally, I'm convinced these feed the tech gremlins — even if they don't pop up after midnight.)
If you have any questions, please let me know.

H&W invites you to Spokane urban hike Oct. 2 ahead of the Housing Washington Conference
By TYLER RUNYAN Office Services program specialist
A number of Commerce folks are heading to Spokane for the in-person portions of the Housing Washington Conference Sunday and Monday, Oct. 2 and 3. Since the Sunday portion will start in the afternoon, the Health and Wellness (H&W) Committee plans to take advantage of the opportunity to invite you, family and friends, and other conference attendees to join us for a 10 a.m. urban hike through the heart of downtown Spokane!
This 2.5-mile hike will wend through Riverfront Park on the Centennial Trail, reaching Kendall Yards before heading back again. If any Commerce employees have worked on projects involving Kendall Yards or Riverfront Park, or anywhere really, we'd love to hear about it on the walk.
