Editor's note: Ethics Officer Sarah Champion was key in crafting some of our Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) Jeopardy questions. The below article will give contestants a leg up on correctly answering questions in the ethics category! Commerce's PSRW Jeopardy will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday on Zoom. First- and second-place winners will get prizes. And for the rest of us who aren't contestants, we pretty much need to know this stuff too. By SARAH CHAMPION Hi, Commerce, it's me, your friendly agency ethics officer! My role, in consultation with the Washington State Executive Ethics Board (the state board that makes decisions regarding ethics complaints) and RCW 42.52 (the Ethics in Public Service Act) is to help team members understand their ethical responsibilities. PSRW activityGeocaching in our worksites!Have you ever tried geocaching out in the world? Now's your chance to do it in a Commerce worksite. Geocaching is typically an outdoor recreational opportunity to use GPS or other navigational techniques to hide and seek "geocaches," or containers with items inside. At Commerce this week, we have hidden geocaches inside Olympia headquarters and the Seattle and Spokane offices. Use this activity sheet to play along. If you find a geocache, you can leave and/or take an item inside. Also, please don't move the geocache. We don't want to ruin the fun for everyone else. You can check out everything we have lined up for PSRW in IntraCOM. Happy hunting!
