Commerce will soon begin accepting Electrification of Transportation Systems (ETS) Grant applications

The Electrification of Transportation (ETS) grant fund is designed to promote the continued transformation of the electric transportation market in Washington state. The ETS program provides grants to Washington local governments and retail electric utilities for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The program places a particular emphasis on addressing the needs of underserved communities and those disproportionately impacted by climate change and pollution from transportation systems.

Applicant must be one of the following:

Washington state local government.
Retail electric utility serving Washington state.

Other organizations may partner with qualified entities to apply.

Please review the program materials listed on the ETS webpage. These materials include instructions, requirements and criteria for the program. Monitoring this page will also allow interested parties to receive updates when Commerce begins accepting applications later this month.
