APPLY NOW: $6.5 million in grants available to increase efficiency, environmental performance of state-owned facilities

The Department of Commerce is now accepting Phase 1 Applications from state agencies and institutions for $6.5 million in State Project Improvement (SPI) grants. This program is intended to encourage upcoming state-owned facilities projects to choose more energy-efficient project options, such as high-efficiency heating systems and windows. By investing now, operational and lifetime energy costs and environmental impacts are reduced.

Grant Eligibility

State agencies and institutions with projects that can be modified to increase efficiency and environmental performance are eligible to apply for this grant. The original project must have existing funding under the 2019 – 21 State Capital Budget.

Deadline: Sept. 6, 2019 (Phase 1 applications)
