The Department of Commerce will be conducting six application workshops for the Washington State Housing Trust Fund (HTF), National Housing Trust Fund and HOME programs. The purpose of these workshops is to provide our applicants and housing developers information about the application process and evaluation criteria to develop new affordable housing projects that benefit low-income individuals and families.
Additional assistance and discussions will revolve around the Housing Preservation Program funding round (pending funding from Washington's capital budget), as well as compliance requirements that help maintain and preserve the sustainability of future and existing projects.
Participation in one of these workshops will improve an applicant’s knowledge and ability to submit a competitive application, but is not a mandatory requirement for applying for funds. We are also building in time to seek and receive your feedback—this will be a great opportunity for you to ask questions, get clarifications and provide feedback to our HTF team regarding the application and evaluation process, and program requirements.
For those who are unable to attend a live workshop, the slideshow presentation will be posted on the Housing Trust Fund webpage at the conclusion of the workshops.
Workshop cities and dates are listed below. Stay tuned for the registration announcement, which will include the agenda and room locations. We look forward to seeing you at one of these workshops! Please email jennifer.lane@commerce.wa.gov, or call (360) 725-2972, if you have any questions.
