Washington Retirement Marketplace Update

Retirement Marketplace

Dear Colleagues:

Official launch of our Retirement Marketplace is drawing near, and with it, help for Washingtonians to comparison shop for low-cost retirement plans.

Great news!  We have five plans from two providers verified for the Retirement Marketplace. We’re working as quickly as we can to bring those plans on board. As soon as they’re loaded and tested, Washington’s Retirement Marketplace will be live and available to the public.

That’s any day now!

We’ll open the Retirement Marketplace with two Roth Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA), two traditional IRAs, and a Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) IRA. We continue to work closely with financial services firms to bring a greater variety of plans to the marketplace. In its introductory year, feedback gathered through user experience testing will help target any needed adjustments to the marketplace platform, educational content and referral process.

Idea to Impact

When visiting the Retirement Marketplace, users will gain bite-size information about how to plan for retirement and get access to state-verified, fee-conscious savings plans.

So many of you have contributed time, passion and ideas to this initiative. As we near both the new year and the launch of this great new resource, I’m sending you my sincere gratitude and well wishes.

Thank you,
