Updated Skill Enhancement Training Outcome EVOC
Attention all vocational firm owners and managers: Please share with your staff.
L&I is updating outcome categories for the Skill Enhancement Training (SET) Outcome EVOC.
Please share with your firm that this change is coming, and emphasize the importance of vocational rehabilitation counselors (VRCs) timely submission of outcome information. VRCs must submit outcome information through an EVOC upon completion of the approved course, or as soon as information becomes available, such as a withdrawal.
VRCs will now have more detailed options to document outcomes, including:
- Complete – Pass
- Complete – Did not pass
- Complete – Other Outcome
- Started – Did not complete
- Did not start
- Insufficient information
Please use your professional judgement to select the most appropriate outcome. You will continue to have the option to include additional free text.
L&I is tracking worker outcomes for SET courses to identify trends, support future training discussions, and help tell SET’s story.
VRCs will request SET outcomes directly from workers, not schools. If a worker is unresponsive or chooses not to disclose, the VRC should submit the EVOC with a result of “Insufficient information”.
L&I has officially exceeded over 1,000 approved SET applications, and utilization continues to grow! Thank you for your continued investment in supporting workers with this new incentive program.
