New Procurement of L&I's Interpretation Services

L&I issued a new Request for Qualifications and Quotations (RFQQ) yesterday, looking for a vendor to provide on-demand and scheduled in-person, video, and phone interpretation services. The vendor would also provide a scheduling system. On average, L&I receives nearly 22,000 requests for interpretation services each month.

We have gathered feedback from providers, workers, and interpreters (Language Access providers, or LAPs) about ways to improve the system. The RFQQ asks potential vendors to provide additional features that respond to those suggestions.

We will send another update when we have awarded and executed a new contract. You can see the RFQQ and other related documents at our procurement page.

If you have questions about this RFQQ, please contact Contract Manager Cristy Miller.
