Feedback returns for vocational rehabilitation counselors
Attention All Firm Managers, please share with your staff.
Beginning April, vocational firm quality assurance (QA) managers will resume receiving vocational rehabilitation counselor (VRC) feedback collected from our vocational services specialists (VSS).
A list of kudos and opportunities will be sent to vocational firm QA managers monthly.
The vocational firm QA manager will use the feedback and further review of claim file notes to inform the firm’s quality assurance plan.
What’s new with VRC feedback?
- The VSS or the VSS supervisor will contact the firm QA manager in cases that require immediate escalation or when they don’t receive a response from the VRC to previous requests.
- Your firm’s VRC feedback information will be included as part of the QA validation meetings.
- The firm QA manager will receive a report of all VRC feedback information received since your prior QA validation meeting, along with the collection of claims for review.
- L&I’s vocational firm QA team and the firm QA manager will discuss recognized themes, any opportunities for clarification from the department, and any adjustments you made to the firm’s QA plan in response to the VRC feedback.
If you have questions, send an email to the Vocational Recovery Project inbox.
This memo will be posted to L&I’s “What’s New for Vocational Counselors” web page.
