Effective July 1: Updated application process for Skill Enhancement Training (SET)

Attention all vocational firm owners and managers: Please share with your staff.

Effective July 1, 2025, the following changes will be made to the Skill Enhancement Training (SET) application:

  • Include a detailed course description. The “VRC Required Attachments” section of the SET Application will include a requirement to include a “Detailed Course Description” (attached directly from the school or training provider).
  • Submit the application no later than 20 business days before the course start date. A Vocational Service Specialist (VSS) will review and respond to the application within 15 business days of receipt. Applications submitted less than 20 business days before the course start date may not be approved.

Reminder: Participation in SET courses should not delay vocational or claim progress.
