NEW Independent Medical Examination (IME) Report Published

L&I has published a new report depicting emerging trends of IMEs for both the State Fund and Self-Insurance. You can now access it from L&I’s Public Data page under the section titled Independent Medical Examination (IME) Report.

Why is there a new report?

This publication is in accordance with WAC 296-23-403 which states “The department will regularly provide independent medical examination data to interested parties that includes emerging trends. As much as possible, the data should include and differentiate between examinations from claims insured by the department and those covered by self-insured employers.” This WAC became effective in April 2022.
