DOSH offers tips to reduce injuries
among package delivery drivers

In today’s economy, package delivery drivers are constantly on the go. With the increased demand, drivers also face an increased possibility of being injured on the job.

To help drivers and their employers reduce the risk of injury, L&I has created safety infographics.

The driver safety infographic offers a number of tips drivers can use to reduce the potential for injury. It breaks the injury risk into four categories: getting in and out of vehicles, lifting and carrying, contact with objects, and dealing with animals.

In addition, the division has created an employer infographic that details simple ergonomic steps they can take to reduce injuries among their drivers.

Along with the safety fact sheets, L&I’s Employment Standards Program has created an infographic outlining worker rights and protections.
