Time to file your quarterly report!

This is a reminder to all employers to file your quarterly report and pay your premiums, if you haven't already, which are due for the first quarter (Jan. 1, 2021 - Mar. 31, 2021) no later than Apr. 30, 2021.

All employers must file a report — even if you don't have any hours to report or premiums due. In this case, you may write “0” for worker hours/units and payroll.

If you don't file your report by the deadline, a late filing penalty, and possible interest charges, will be assessed.

If you are unable to pay your quarterly premiums during the COVID-19 pandemic, still file your report before the Apr. 30 deadline. 

L&I has an Employer Assistance Program to assist you with a payment plan during the COVID-19 pandemic. You must make a new request each quarter.  

L&I services for filing your quarterly report are available online through QuickFile and the Claim & Account Center.  Go to https://www.lni.wa.gov/insurance/quarterly-reports/file-quarterly-reports/ and file your quarterly report now.

Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, L&I regional offices are closed to public visits until further notice. Office staff can still help you by phone from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays (except state holidays and mandatory furlough days). Call the phone number for your closest regional office, or the Office of Information and Assistance at 360-902-5800.

We recently notified you of a change to our Multi-Factor Authentication process for secure applications. The deadline for that change has been moved until sometime later this spring. Online filing is quick and easy. Here are some tips to help you file successfully:

  • Don't wait until the deadline — file early. If you have any issues or questions, you won't be pressured by time constraints.
  • Look up your Account ID or UBI number.
  • There are multiple payment options. You can schedule your payment in advance (up until the deadline), mail in your check, or pay with a credit card.
  • Don't forget to hit the submit button, and then print a copy of your report for your records.
