The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) filed a CR-102 proposed rulemaking relating to chapter 296-880 WAC with the Office of the Code Reviser.
The rulemaking proposes to amend several existing sections and create a new chapter. The purpose of the proposed rule is to reduce employee exposure to falls.
L&I scheduled four public hearings to solicit comments on proposed rulemaking related to fall protection. All testimony and written comments become part of the public record.

Proposed Adoption Date
The proposed rules are scheduled for adoption on March 31, 2020 with a scheduled effective date of June 1, 2020.
