Labor & Industries is currently seeking an Apprenticeship Consultant 4 in our Tumwater office. Under the administration of the Apprenticeship Program Manager for the Fraud Prevention and Labor Standards Division (FP&LS), this position serves as a statewide expert and the compliance lead in the areas of compliance activities, investigations and field audits. The incumbent will provide interpretation of rules and regulations and participate in the development or revision of laws, standards, rules, regulations and policy. Duties: Serves as the statewide compliance specialist on registered apprenticeship laws, rules and related processes; provides advice, evaluation, tracking, and instruction.

Coordinates and completes program administrative & affirmative action compliance reviews and investigations necessary for evaluation of complaints and appeals.

Coordinates and oversees the statewide registered apprenticeship compliance and enforcement activities and actions.

Conducts complex employer consultations and investigations involving multiple standards of employment.

Identifies needed corrections to compliance activities, investigations and field audits conducted by Apprenticeship Consultants statewide.

Conducts complex consultations and investigations verifying compliance of registered apprenticeship programs.

Advises sponsors on state and federal laws and rules applying to registered apprenticeship programs, as well as Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council policies and procedures.
