You can buy your 2026-27 hunting and angling license products today through the MyWDFW and Fish Washington® apps, by visiting myWDFW.org, calling 360-902-2464, or going to a license dealer near you. Go to wdfw.wa.gov/licenses/dealers to find your nearest license dealer.
Note: This is an excellent time to make sure you have an active and accurate email address in your WILD account. You can check and edit your listed email address by clicking the "Your Profile" link found on your WILD account homepage. If your email address needs to be updated, simply click "Edit" under the "Account Information" heading on your profile page.
While you're in your account information, you can also sign up for communications from WDFW about upcoming recreational opportunities so you can make the most of your time in the field and on the water.
 The new MyWDFW app
WDFW recently rolled out the MyWDFW app, a comprehensive mobile licensing tool for both hunters and anglers. It supports license purchases, displays active license privileges, and enables electronic tagging for a wide range of game species, including deer, elk, turkey, and bear, with most features available offline.
Users can also report migratory bird harvests and submit end-of-season harvest reports. Like Fish Washington®, it includes catch record cards for select fish species and an Enforcement View for WDFW officers, along with access to your licensing (WILD) profile.
Customers must choose between paper licenses and mobile licenses for the upcoming 2026 license year.
Customers may switch from paper to mobile at any time between now and the start of the license year. However, once a customer selects mobile licensing, they are locked in for the entire season and cannot return to paper until the following license year.

Columbia River salmon and steelhead endorsement
Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, all anglers age 15 and older must purchase a Columbia River salmon and steelhead endorsement (CRSSE) to fish recreationally for salmon and steelhead in the Columbia River and many of its Washington tributaries. The CRSSE is an annual requirement in addition to a valid recreational fishing license.
- License year 2025-26 endorsements are available to purchase now. Those endorsements are valid until March 31, 2026.
- License year 2026-27 endorsements are also available to buy now. Those are effective beginning April 1, 2026 and run through March 31, 2027.
Licensed anglers fishing in the Columbia River or its Washington tributaries who are targeting species other than salmon or steelhead (e.g., sturgeon, trout, shad, walleye, or bass) do not need the CRSSE.
For more information on the CRSSE, including cost, how to purchase it, and where it's needed, click the button below.
Help prevent the spread of chronic wasting disease
As you plan your hunts for next year, please take into consideration that WDFW has confirmed chronic wasting disease (CWD) in our state. That means there are now rules related to preventing the spread of the disease. There is extensive information on CWD on the WDFW website, including how the disease spreads, how to have animals tested for it, what areas have mandatory testing, what parts of harvested animals can be transported, and much more. We appreciate your help to prevent the spread of this potentially devastating wildlife disease.
We here at WDFW hope you had great luck in the field and on the water in 2025 and wish you more of the same in 2026!
