Dear Washington hunter,
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's online reporting for small game hunters is active for the season. If you have any of these 2025 license products:
-
Small game license
-
Western Washington pheasant license
-
Migratory bird permit
-
Big game license (for forest grouse, coyote, and other species)
You can report your small game hunting activity through an online survey.
How does it work?
Surveys are open from Sept. 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. These surveys are simple and brief, with only five questions. They ask if you hunted, which species, which counties, how many days, and how many harvests. You can add new entries throughout the season to capture all your hunting activity. At the end of the reporting time frame on March 31, 2026, all entries will be automatically submitted.
Your responses will help WDFW better manage hunting opportunities statewide. Even if you didn’t hunt or harvest, every response is important.
Note to small game hunters with a migratory bird permit and authorization: This reporting tool is not an alternative to the mandatory hunter reports required of any band-tailed pigeon, brant, sea duck, snow goose, or Canada goose authorizations and harvest report cards.
How to report hunting activity
To submit your report, follow these steps:

Log in to or set up your WILD account at fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/login
-
Click the Submit a Harvest Report tile or the Harvest Reporting link under the Licenses, Permits, Tags & Applications heading
-
Click Submit Report to the right of the harvest report you want to enter
-
Answer the questions provided, making one entry per species/location
-
Once you complete the entry, you can click Submit Another at any time during the reporting window to make another entry, or select View to see all previous entries
-
An entry cannot be edited after the day it was made
-
NOTE: If you answer “No” when asked whether you hunted a certain species but end up hunting for that species or species group later in the season, you can change your answer to “Yes” anytime during the reporting window.
