Multi-season: Triple your opportunity for success

Multi-season deer and elk tag applications offer you a chance to extend your hunting season and get in on special hunts under any weapon type. The bag limit is still one animal.
Why apply?
If selected for the 2025 Multi-season tag, you can hunt in any open unit during all general seasons starting with archery, then muzzleloader, and finally modern firearm, to get in more hunting days and increase your odds of success.

Hunt in seasons stretching from September into December, depending on where you choose to hunt

Apply for special hunts under any weapon type

Hunt in both Eastern and Western Washington with an elk Multi-season tag

Special hunts: Get the most out of your seasons
Applications are available for purchase now; submission period runs April 28-May 28

Special hunting permit applications are available annually for deer, elk, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, moose, and wild turkey, offering fantastic, quality hunting opportunities around the state.
Why apply?
- There are nearly 900 special hunts to choose from across dozens of categories and five big game species plus wild turkey.
- In addition to special hunts open to any hunter, there are also specific options for youth, hunters with disabilities, hunters age 65 and older, and those in the Master Hunter program.
- Some hunts are exclusive opportunities to hunt outside of general seasons, increasing your odds for a successful harvest.
- You can enjoy less competition with a limited number of hunters in the field during your special hunt.
- You'll accumulate preference points over time to increase your chances of being drawn.
