Vehicle inspections matter

A quick vehicle inspection can help prevent breakdowns, improve safety, and identify problems before they become time-consuming repairs or roadside emergencies.

Before every trip

Take a few moments to:

• Walk around the vehicle and look for damage or leaks.
• Check tires for visible damage or low inflation.
• Make sure windows, mirrors, and windshield are clean and functioning.
• Confirm seat belts are working properly.
• Remove loose items or clutter from the vehicle.
• Check for dashboard warning lights.
• Ensure there is enough fuel or battery charge for your trip.

Monthly

• Check lights, turn signals, and the horn.
• Look for fluid leaks.
• Note any vehicle or wheel damage.
• Keep the vehicle reasonably clean inside and out.

Quarterly

• Check windshield wipers.
• Verify glove box documents are present and current.
• Report any concerns or unusual vehicle behavior.

Remember

If you notice damage, warning lights, mechanical issues, or anything unusual, report it promptly. Early reporting helps keep vehicles safe, reliable, and available for everyone.
