Washington EDGE will be launching soon
The wait is almost over!
The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is preparing to launch the Washington Encouraging Diversity, Growth, and Equity (EDGE) pilot program. Once the program goes live, we will start accepting applications from small businesses.
In the meantime, DES recently published the new Washington EDGE policy, which outlines the program goals and criteria for participation.
Washington EDGE is a pilot program to provide training, easy access to technical assistance, and networking opportunities for small businesses, making them more competitive in public works contracting with the state of Washington. Contractors accepted into the program will receive access to Washington EDGE-exclusive bid opportunities on select contracts identified below $1 million.
Public works firms are eligible for Washington EDGE if they:
- Have average annual gross receipts of $5 million or less in Washington.
- Have all necessary licenses to perform public works projects.
- Have been active in construction work for at least three years.
- Have not had any suspensions or debarments in the past two years.
Be sure to keep an eye out for a bulletin announcing our launch!
