New USPS postage rates take effect July 10, 2022
The rate increases proposed by the United States Postal Service (USPS) in June were approved and will take effect on July 10, 2022. The changes include increases to presort letters, flats, and postcards. Visit the USPS website for a complete list of rates.
Remember to use Consolidated Mail Services (CMS) presort services for letters and flats to get the benefit of postage discounts. In calendar year 2021, CMS saved the state over $8.2 million in postage by presorting letters. To take advantage of the presort rates listed below, be sure to correctly format and address your mail and check the presort box on your Mailing Instruction Form (pink slip).

USPS Certified Mail and associated optional services will also increase. Using Electronic Return Receipt can save agencies $1.25 per piece of mail and saved the state nearly $87,000 in calendar year 2021.
