Directive 20-05 removed from Washington's Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS) solicitation considerations
What's different?
The Governor's Directive 20-05 consideration is being removed from the preference section when posting a new solicitation in WEBS.
Why is this happening?
The Governor issued Directive 20-05 in response to COVID-19 in May of 2020. There was a freeze on the following: (1) hiring not related to public safety or other non-discretionary activities, (2) signing non-essential personal services contracts, and (3) discretionary equipment purchasing.
The freezes described in Directive 20-05 have since been rescinded, and will be removed from the solicitation considerations list in WEBS.
How will my work change?
When Posting a Solicitation: The previously mandatory field for Directive 20-05 that asked if your solicitation had been reviewed by OFM is no longer required. It has been removed as an option for this section.
If historical data is needed in the future, the information can be pulled from the “reports” tab in WEBS.
