Hello Tribal Child Placing Agency (CPA) partners, 

The Rule Memo finalizing interim changes to WAC 110-148-1520 is posted. It outlines the new requirements related to WAC 110-148-1520: “What services am I expected to provide for children in my care.” While the full revision of this WAC is still underway, CPA staff must follow the interim requirements described in the memo.

The WAC 110-148-1520 Interim Practice Guide breaks down the licensing work connected to these interim updates and offers clear, practical steps to help you understand how to structure your interviews, and document clearly to meet the new requirements.

Please take time to review both documents. If you have questions or need additional clarification, please reach out to your regional licensor.

DCYF will host three training sessions to provide an overview of the updated WAC Chapter 110-148. Each CPA may send one staff member to each of the training sessions.

Registration is now open. Please register for all topics by Sept. 23, 2026.
