Hello Tribal Child Placing Agency (CPA) partners,
Updated CCT will be available in the Alliance course catalog on Jan. 15 in English and Spanish. Starting that day, Mandatory Reporter training will be a standalone course that applicants must take to meet their preservice requirements. The catalog will prompt them to take it after they complete CCT.
- It is important to identify pending applications that have not yet taken CCT and will need to take Mandatory Reporter separately.
- Please upload Mandatory Reporter certificates in WA CAP under Training starting Jan. 15.
Licensed Caregivers and Direct Deposit
An upcoming change to payment processing at DCYF will require all providers to register for a Statewide Vendor Number (SWV) to receive payments. All licensed caregivers (foster and kinship) must complete a provider registration form by May 1, 2026. If you already have direct deposit set up to receive payments, no action is needed.
Please submit the completed form as soon as possible to allow for processing before the change. It takes four to six weeks for the Office of Financial Management (OFM) to assign an SWV number. If you do not get an SWV number prior to May 1, 2026, this will result in future payment delays.
Licensed caregivers interested in getting payment via direct deposit should fill out a provider registration form. Caregivers who do not wish to or do not have the ability to enroll in direct deposit will continue to receive their payments in warrant/check form. There are two options for submitting the forms:
This information will be communicated in the Caregiver Connection newsletter through May 2026. Additionally, the direct deposit forms listed on the Social Service Payment System (SSPS) Main Menu with the revised date of October 17, 2023, are outdated, and the OFM will stop accepting them at the end of this year.
Ensure caregivers are using the forms directly from the OFM website: Statewide Vendor/Payee Services.
Thanks,
Ron Effland Foster Care Senior Administrator
