We want to inform you of a system outage at the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) that has been impacting our ability to complete background checks and likely will impact the hiring process for DCYF employees, providers, and foster parent applications.
AOC’s system has been down since Nov. 1 and we expected the system to be restored on Nov. 12, however, it remains offline. Without AOC’s information we cannot finalize background checks. Please note that we are still able to process National Crime Information Center (NCIC) checks for emergent Child Welfare placements and CPS investigations.
We are actively collaborating with DSHS to identify alternate options and will provide updates as soon as possible.

Queremos informarle de una interrupción del sistema en la Oficina de Audiencias Administrativas (OAH) que ha estado afectando nuestra capacidad para completar las verificaciones de antecedentes y probablemente afectará el proceso de contratación de empleados de DCYF, proveedores y solicitudes de padres de crianza.
El sistema de AOC no funciona desde el 1 de noviembre y esperamos que se restablezca el 12 de noviembre, pero sigue sin funcionar. Sin la información de la AOC no podemos finalizar las verificaciones de antecedentes.
