To limit the emails you receive about the various DCYF projects in the child welfare space, we have put together all the updates related to our Thriving Families initiative in this monthly roundup:

D.S. Settlement

  • The D.S. Workgroup has finalized the D.S. Settlement Data Addendum, which describes how information will be used to monitor progress on the D.S. Settlement. This document was published to the DCYF website on Feb. 2, 2024.

Caregiver Supports 

Family Practice Model (FPM)

  • The FPM design team launched a new, interactive intranet site for staff to support child welfare work featuring Family Practice Profiles (FPP) for three service areas.
  • To put FPM into practice, FPP are developed to: 

    • Describe behaviors broken out by service areas (areas of practice) in child welfare.
    • Offer guidance on how you can bring agency values into practice while planning, assessing, and engaging with families.
    • Provide concrete examples for developmental practice and best practice.

Kinship

  • Tribal Initial License will go live on March 13. Training for staff will begin this month.
