The ESIT State Leadership Team is pleased to announce that the ACORN Live Comprehensive User Training is now available for registration in the DCYF Student Portal.
Conditional district access to ACORN is being established and will include informed, written and signed, parental consent for individualized access to a child record, being on file with the respective ESIT Provider Agency.
School District staff who DO NOT work for an ESIT Provider Agency can follow these instructions to create an account in the Portal and register:
The ACORN Live Comprehensive User Training covers topics including a systems overview, child records, IFSP development and transition. The training is set up as a series of 3 live webinars that can be taken instead of the ACORN asynchronous modules to satisfy the training requirement.
All ACORN users are required to complete either all three live webinars OR all self-paced modules. The self-paced modules are sufficient for users with a school district and will be available soon. You may also choose to attend the live webinars and access the self-paced modules as needed once they are available.
Once you register for the ACORN Live Comprehensive User Training in the DCYF Training Portal, you will be able choose the dates you wish to participate. Participants will receive the Zoom link and supplementary training materials to the email they provide prior to the first live session.
