2023-24 Performance Standards

ECEAP Performance Standards were updated for 2023-24. A training copy and pre-recorded webinar are available for you to access that highlight changes for 2023-24.

The 0-3 ECEAP Performance Standards were finalized. This is the initial set of Performance Standards for 0-3 ECEAP as we transitioned out of the Pilot.

ELMS Updates

Setting Up the 2023-24 School Year in ELMS:

  • By August 15, set up all contractor, site, and class pages for the new year in ELMS. This automatically sets up the new year in GOLD®. See Starting the New School Year in ELMS and the ELMS News page for details

 

Removing ELMS Access for Staff Not Returning:

  • ELMS Administrators can remove ELMS access from staff who will not return this fall.
    • Set ELMS to the 2023-24 school year (not in the school year they worked for you)
    • Open the Staff tab, find the person and click “Edit”
    • Then click “Delete” next to the roles they are leaving
    • Open the Admin tab, find the person and click “Inactive” to remove their ELMS access

 

ELMS Administrator Training

DCYF will hold 3-day virtual trainings for new ELMS Administrators who are the ELMS super-users at the ECEAP Contractor Level. DCYF will offer this training on two date ranges:

  • 8/8/23-8/10/23: 9:30AM-12:30PM each day
  • 8/29/23-8/31/23: 9:30AM-12:30PM each day

Mobility Mentoring® Supports

Mobility Mentoring® Foundations Online Course

Mobility Mentoring® Foundations replaces our Mobility Mentoring® Essentials two-day in-person training. It is available for all family support staff to access at no charge. It is designed for learners to see Mobility Mentoring® in action, learn about intentional practice, and prepare them to use the coaching approach. The course is broken up into four modules that take between 8-10 hours to complete.

Within 3-5 days, participants will receive an email from DCYF with detailed instructions on creating and activating their online course.

Monthly Mobility Mentoring® Foundations Reflection Session Schedule: 2023-24

This session is mandatory to attend to receive STARS credit and to be eligible for TIC incentives. Upon successfully completing the Mobility Mentoring® Foundation Course, you need only to attend once to receive STARS credit.

  • Occurs the fourth Monday of every month from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Monthly Comprehensive Services Supports

These optional supports for ECEAP and 0-3 ECEAP programs provide opportunities for participants to share information, ideas and resources, and network with peers across the state.

Family Support Staff Check-Ins for ECEAP & Early ECEAP Schedule:  2023-24

 Health Coordinators Check-In Schedule: 2023-24

  • Occurs the third Wednesday of every month from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

REE Check-In Schedule: 2023-24

This online resource for REE staff provides time to connect about enrollment and eligibility topics and will take the place of in-person REE trainings, until further notice.

 

ECEAP and Early ECEAP Coach Check-In 2023-24

The coach check-in is an informal and optional monthly meeting with coaches supporting ECEAP and Early ECEAP classrooms and sites. It is an opportunity to learn about updates related to coaching, upcoming training and professional development opportunities, ask questions, build community and network with other coaches in your region and across the state.

  • Occurs the first Friday of each month (September 1, 2023-June 7, 2024) from 1 to 2 p.m.

Basecamp Supports

Mobility Mentoring® Basecamp

The ECEAP Mobility Mentoring® Basecamp is an online networking and learning space open to all ECEAP and 0-3 ECEAP family support staff and managers statewide at no cost. The family support and engagement team at DCYF ECEAP maintain it regularly. The purpose of this Basecamp is to provide relevant information, resources, peer interaction, and professional development to support ECEAP staff in delivering high quality, culturally relevant, trauma-informed, healing-centered, and equity-focused family services.

To sign up, email leticia.cardenas@dcyf.wa.gov and request to be added to the ECEAP Mobility Mentoring® Basecamp. Be sure to follow your program’s internal processes for subscribing to external forums. This may include getting authorization from your management. 

Health Coordinators Basecamp

This online resource for staff who coordinate Health Services in ECEAP and 0-3 ECEAP provides space to connect about health topics, related information, resources, and professional development opportunities. Participation in the Health Coordinators Basecamp is optional.

Education Staff Support Basecamp

This online resource for education staff in ECEAP and 0-3 ECEAP provides space to network with staff around the state, share ideas, and learn about upcoming professional development opportunities. This free resource is maintained by the education team at DCYF ECEAP, with the goal to provide up to date information, links to resources, and opportunities for staff to connect and share. Email eceap@dcyf.wa.gov to sign up.

Recruitment, Enrollment, and Eligibility Basecamp

The REE Basecamp allows staff to:

  • Share ideas, strategies, and resources that support in-home learning
  • Support each other regarding shared challenges and struggles
  • Access links to professional development opportunities
  • Ask policy and ECEAP and 0-3 ECEAP Performance Standards question

UW Haring Center for Inclusive Education

Help Me Grow Washington Announces New Strategic Plan

Help Me Grow Washington launched their 2023-2028 Strategic Plan. This plan sets the course for Help Me Grow Washington’s future and includes six focus areas and nine strategic initiatives to work towards in the next five years. For more information go to here
