Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant Survey

DCYF ECEAP is gathering information to understand mental health services across the state. The intent is to begin to understand the landscape of ECEAP IECMH Consultant implementation and access. We are asking each program to complete a brief survey about how you access your IECMH Consultant. You can find the survey here. Please complete the survey by COB Wednesday, March 22nd.

The enhanced planning features are now available to preschool teachers using The Creative Curriculum Cloud. These new capabilities 


Grant Opportunities

PDPG

Washington has been awarded a $4 million Preschool Development Planning Grant (PDG-P)! This grant focuses largely on supporting our state’s early learning workforce and will run through the 2023 calendar year alongside the Preschool Development Renewal Grant (PDG-R). ELMS Updates

State Median Income Updated

The state median income (SMI) guidelines were released with a small increase in the annual income amounts. They are effective in ELMS now. ELMS recalculated the SMI for children on your waiting lists or with completed applications, as well as all children entered in ELMS in the future. View the new chart here.

AAP
The Alternative Attendance Plans forms are now updated in ELMS. Please check the ELMS News page for additional information and updates.

Important Dates:

Within six months of hire and every three years thereafter: Lead teachers must complete Teaching Strategies GOLD® inter-rater reliability certification.

Within 90 days from class start date, enter health screenings, well-child exams and dental screenings in ELMS.

ECEAP Professional Development Webinar Series

DCYF ECEAP and Professional Development (PD) team are hosting a webinar series for ECEAP contractor staff. This series will focus on navigating the MERIT system, application processes and professional development related to performance standard monitoring. This series is intended for staff who support others in ECEAP roles with staff qualification requirements.

The webinars will occur on the 4th Thursday of the month.

Government to Government Training

This training explores tribal sovereignty, tribal governments and local tribes. This training is for all ECEAP providers, and contractors who subcontract with tribes and is especially helpful for programs that serve Tribal children or partner with local tribes

Since Time Immemorial Early Learning Curriculum Training

Since Time Immemorial Early Learning is a free curriculum designed to introduce young learners to concepts related to tribal sovereignty and learning about local tribes. Since Time Immemorial Early Learning Training is open to all ECEAP contractors who are planning to use the curriculum in their classrooms. 

 

Mobility Mentoring

Would you like to find out how other PNW Exchange Members are utilizing Mobility Mentoring in their programs? Have questions about engagement, retention, goal-setting, recognition? Do you want to increase the impact of this model in our home states?  If you answered yes to any of these questions than please join us for a Virtual Member Networking event on March 22nd from 9-10:30 am Pacific Time. This event will provide a unique opportunity to meet and learn from other professionals and programs utilizing Mobility Mentoring outside of ECEAP. We will also explore possibilities for staying connected with each other moving forward.
