WA CAP by Binti Update - October 12, 2022

Worker Access to WA CAP by Binti Demo

The WA CAP team is excited to share that staff will soon be able to access WA CAP as a worker.

Previously, LD staff were provided access to the General Foster Care application as applicants. This view lets staff know what applicants will see as they enter an application and get a feel for WA CAP.

With worker-side access, LD staff will now be able to see the system from their vantage point and get a feel for how it flows.

Why is this important?

Staff asked for this opportunity in surveys and in-person meetings. The WA CAP team and Binti worked hard to create the demo space. We all have different learning styles, so this is one tool to accommodate staff learning. Some people learn best through hands-on opportunities to click the buttons and explore, so we're excited to provide that opportunity. It also allows staff to see new forms, explore potential workflows, and reinforce lessons learned from current and upcoming training.

Why now?

Launch for Assessment and SAM staff is November 28, 2022. Power Users, SAM, and Assessment staff have begun WA CAP training. To make the transition easier, we want those going into the system to be able to practice and play on the demo site. The more practice that occurs before going live, the easier the transition will be.

What to expect?

  • Power users have received emails on how to sign into WA CAP by Binti.
  • All SAM and Assessment staff will receive emails with access instructions on or about October 13, 2022.
  • Training will provide formal guidance to staff between now and going live.
  • The demo site is continuously updated until go-live.
  • Access to new forms, the home study, signature processes, and uploading options will now be available.
  • Power Users and business units can enter the system and practice together.

Questions?

The WA CAP Team appreciates all the questions and comments from staff that has been submitted. Although not all of them may have been directly responded to, you can be assured that they are reviewed, considered, and retained. You are encouraged to keep sending in questions, comments, and, yes, even complaints.
