Hello Trainers!

Most of you know that Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 110-300 for center and family home child care went live August 1, 2019. The WAC for School-Age Child Care has also been updated (WAC 110-301).

Over the last months, we have noticed that there are still training content in MERIT that refers to the old WACs. Please review the trainings that you have posted in MERIT, and make sure the content references current WAC.

Keep in mind: it's important to make connections to the WAC in training, however, any training on licensing regulations or the WAC may only be done by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.

La mayoría de ustedes saben que el Código Administrativo de Washington (WAC) 110-300 para el cuidado infantil en centros y hogares familiares se puso en vivo el 1 de agosto de 2019. El WAC para el cuidado infantil en edad escolar también se actualizó (WAC 110-301).

Durante los últimos meses, hemos notado que todavía hay contenido de capacitación en MERIT que hace referencia a los WAC anteriores. Revise las capacitaciones que ha publicado en MERIT y asegúrese de que el contenido haga referencia al WAC actual.

Recuerde: es importante hacer conexiones a la ley durante la capacitación; sin embargo, cualquier capacitación sobre regulaciones de licencia o el WAC solo puede realizarla el Departamento de Niños, Jóvenes y Familias.
