Participants Needed for Early Learning Career Planning Portal Feedback

As part of a user-centered study, DCYF is looking for participants in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field to provide feedback on DCYF's Early Learning Career Planning Portal.

Our user-centered approach will help us understand users’ needs and provide us a chance to design together with the community. Your feedback is crucial to making our portal better!

About the Career Planning Portal

The Career Planning Portal helps individuals discover various professions in the early learning field, provides financial aid resources, and outlines education programs in the ECE field.

Who We Need  

We are looking for a mix of participants in the ECE field, including:

  • At least two bilingual speakers whose first language is Spanish (Spanish/English)
  • At least two bilingual speakers whose first language is Somali (Somali/English)
  • Family home providers 
  • Center providers
  • Current ECE students
  • Individuals in ECE support roles (coaches, licensors, individuals who support early learning providers at Education Service Districts (ESDs) or higher education institutions)

What Does Participation Look Like?

  • Participants will work one-on-one with a research representative
  • Each feedback session will be conducted in English and will last up to 75 minutes
  • The session will include an interview and navigation of the Early Learning Career Planning Portal
  • Participants will need a computer with a working camera and high-speed internet
  • Feedback will be conducted online via Zoom
  • Participants should have a quiet space with minimal interruptions
