Child Care Workers Are Eligible for Health Care Premium Assistance Through 2022

Dear Child Care Partner,

We are asking for your help in reaching child care workers who may qualify for the Health Care Premium Assistance for Employees of Child Care Facilities.

This opportunity to access health insurance at no cost to eligible child care workers is available through 2022 and is administered by the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, in partnership with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) and Yakima Neighborhood Health Services.

This benefit provides child care workers in DCYF licensed child care facilities new options for their health care coverage.

All employees of child care facilities are eligible to participate in the program and can sign up any time. Child care staff in centers, Family Homes, outdoor nature-based care, early learning childhood education, and assistance program staff are eligible to apply.

Please help share the following program information with people in your child care networks:

If you have questions, concerns, are unable to access or print the materials, or encounter barriers, email Sponsorship and Outreach Manager Genny Arredondo at genevieve.arredondo@wahbexchange.org.
